Weather Girl

By Rachel Lynn Solomon

Release date: January 11, 2022

If you’re looking for a fun romance, this one looks to be a book that you won’t want to put down. The two main characters are a meteorologist (Ari) and a sports reporter (Russell) that concoct a plan to get their divorced bosses back together after realizing that their bosses’ unhappiness over their divorce is impacting their own lives.

But, as you can imagine, it’s possible that things might not go according to plan and that there might actually be something brewing between Ari and Russell. Also, since this book is released early in January, you won’t have to wait long to get your hands on it and start reading!

101 Essays That Will Change The Way You Think

By Brianna West

Release date: November 14, 2016

If you want to start your 2022 reading before January starts, this is a great one to pick up. As the author says,

“I believe that the root of being human is learning how to think. From this, we learn how to love, share, coexist, tolerate, give, and create. I believe the first and most important duty we have is to actualize the potential we were born with both for ourselves and for the world. The unspoken line of everything I write is: ‘This idea changed my life.’ I hope my books do that for you. I hope they deeply inspire you, and I hope they help you become the person you’ve always wanted to be.”

As you read these essays you’ll think more deeply and find yourself growing and learning in ways that maybe you never expected to. Working on yourself is one of the best things you can do for yourself to start the year well. So, what are you waiting for?

The Paris Apartment

By Lucy Foley

Release date: February 22, 2022

If you are obsessed with thrillers, this is one you’ll want to pre-order now! In fact, you might already know author Lucy Foley from her hit book, The Guest List.

Set in a Paris apartment, the main character Jess is looking for a new beginning. She heads to Paris to stay with her brother Ben, but when she arrives, he’s mysteriously gone. As she searches for answers, Jess finds that every neighbor seems to be hiding something and she has more questions than answers.

Let’s Get Physical

By Danielle Friedman

Release date: January 4, 2022

Of course, if you want a non-fiction read you’ll love this because it’s probably completely different from anything you’ve ever read. While it might seem crazy, in the not-so-distant past, it was extremely uncommon for women to exercise as it was deemed “unladylike.” Can you believe that?

Not only will this one leave you feeling motivated to step up your workout game in 2022, but you’ll also learn so much about how exercise has continued to evolve for women over the years.

Heiresses

By Laura Thompson

Release date: February 1, 2022

This is another non-fiction that will probably surprise you. While it’s easy to simply think those female heiresses had simple lives without a care in the world, we often forget that many fought incredibly hard for equal rights and to combat injustice.

Some of the women you’ll read about in the book include Mary Davies, Consuelo Vanderbilt, Barbara Hutton, Patty Hearst, Angela Burdett-Coutts, Nancy Cunard, and Daisy Fellowes.

Book Lovers

By Emily Henry

Release date: May 3, 2022

In this one, the main character Nora Stephens is a (clearly book-obsessed) literary agent and Charlie Lasta is an editor. On a vacation with her sister in Sunshine Falls, North Carolina, Nora happens to run into Charlie. While they haven’t had the best interactions in the past, who knows, maybe this time things will be different.
